How ELITA came to be
Every piece of software here started out as a much bigger idea.
An ambitious idea
Rahul Desai set out to build something singular — an artificial intelligence of his own.
A hard number
The research kept pointing to the same conclusion: an AI venture like that needed far more capital than Rahul had to fund it.
A different company
Rather than shelve the ambition, he redirected it. ELITA became a systems and software development company — smaller bets, built for the web, built to ship.
A wider mission
The goal stayed just as big: build software that helps South Africans keep up with the rest of the world, and push the country further into its technological future.
